Story about this misheard lyric by: Sarah Growing up in El Paso, Texas, there was a surplus of Spanglish. I never thought twice about there being Spanish at the beginning of this song (that appeared no where else in the song). One day my sisters and I were sitting around and I started singing the song. I didn't get through the first verse, when I was stopped and they said. "What did you say?!??!?!" Still very confident in my lyrics, I repeated slowly (thinking they were dumb). They fell on the floor laughing and it became obvious I was a border city girl. |
