Undisputed Truth Smiling Faces Sometimes Smiling faces sometimes pretend to be your friend. "Smiling Faces Sometimes" by the trio known as the Undisputed Truth was a #3 smash hit in 1971 for the Tamla subsidy label of Motown. Originally "Smiling Faces Sometimes" was recorded by another Norman Whitfield produced act, the Temptations, but it went no where with that group.
