Real Lyrics -> Bad Grammar in Song Lyrics -> Index
Song lyrics aren't supposed to be a fountain of perfect english, but on the other hand some are just so atrocious, they need to get called out. We're not looking for sentance fragments or the word ain't since there are too many instances to count.

Yes', "Hearts"
The Lyrics: I hearing it I living it I believe in it
Why: Okay, the last one's correct, but the first two lines are just gut-bustingly bad. "I living it"? Isn't supposed to be "I'm hearing, I'm living it"? I think Jon was in a hurry to finish the lyrics, so I guess he wasn't thinking when he did that. I dunno.

Ike & Tina Turner's, "Proud Mary"
The Lyrics: You see, we never ever do nothing nice and easy.
Why: "never...do nothing" is a double negative.
