Song lyrics aren't supposed to be a fountain of perfect english, but on the other hand some are just so atrocious, they need to get called out. We're not looking for sentance fragments or the word ain't since there are too many instances to count.

Why: It should be "Damn, I wish I WERE your lover."

The Lyrics: Throughout life people will make you mad
Disrespect you and treat you bad Why: It should be: "Disrespect you and treat you badly." "Treat" is a verb and should be modified by an adverb, not an adjective.
