Real Lyrics -> Bad Grammar in Song Lyrics -> Dan Fogelberg

Song lyrics aren't supposed to be a fountain of perfect english, but on the other hand some are just so atrocious, they need to get called out. We're not looking for sentance fragments or the word ain't since there are too many instances to count.

Dan Fogelberg's, "Longer"
The Lyrics:
Longer than there've been fishes in the ocean
Why:
The correct plural of "fish" is "fish," not "fishes."

Dan Fogelberg's, "Stars"
The Lyrics:
Far too many stars have fell on me
Why:
Every time I hear this lyric, I cringe. "Have fell" is simply poor grammar, Dan. Either "far too many stars fell on me" (past tense) or "far too many stars have fallen on me" (present perfect tense) would have been correct, but "have fell" is a bastardization of theses two tenses that any second or third grader could catch.
