Real Lyrics -> Bad Grammar in Song Lyrics -> Orleans

Song lyrics aren't supposed to be a fountain of perfect english, but on the other hand some are just so atrocious, they need to get called out. We're not looking for sentance fragments or the word ain't since there are too many instances to count.

Dance With Me: The Best of Orleans album at
Orleans', "Still The One"
The Lyrics:
We've been together since way back when
Sometimes I never want to see you again.
The second line is totally wrong grammatically. He's singing in present tense when the correct line should have said, "At times, I never wanted to see you again." or "At times, I didn't want to see you again."
