Why They're Insulting: There are some men who are broke or close to it that have heart. This song is just telling they want only perfect men. This is why Sporty Theivez made a parody called "No Pigeons".

Rasputina's, "My Captivity By Savages"
The Insulting Lyrics: "I clenched my long, graceful fingers into tight fists at my sides, and turning my head away, Laughed quietly to myself. (Ha ha ha!) If these human animals believed that they had captured a nubile and willing young white slave girl, they were sorely mistaken. "
Why They're Insulting: Even though Iam not a native myself, I find it really disturbing to refer to them as "human animals" or "savages" as Rasputina states in these lyrics. In the entire song she describes herself as though she were the most "graceful" being only because of her different features when compared to those of the natives. It goes back to slavery and colonialism therefore it is considered racist which I hate. It also put natives as though they were the harm to the Europeans which I totally disagree for the natives were the prey of the Europeans.
