What people seem to miss is that the second line of the song mentions Blue Boy magazine which is a prominent gay men's porn mag. So now we know what she is masturbating too (Go Cyndi). Later she mentions going south and the old myth about going blind. Further on she talks about not being able to stop (almost an addictive quality to it). Its a great song, not at all subtle - yet so many people missed it. I love it.

Why: A reference to the country of China, even though the notion of a "hole all the way to China" is a cliched hyperbole. It is an expression that I've often heard in the U.S. at least, where it seems to be used as if China represented the complete opposite side of the world from the U.S. It actually does not, by quite a long way. For most of the U.S. at least, the actual antipode (compete opposite side of the Earth) is somewhere in the Indian Ocean, closer to Australia than to China.

I'm not sure what category this belongs to but here goes: I take it we all know what this hit's lyrics are about. In the video where Cyndi appears before a judge in a "morality tribunal" courtroom (on a "bopping" charge no less) the judge opens a thick lawbook. On the cover it says "The Big Bopper" which is the stage name of J.P. Richardson - who died in the 1958 plane crash that also took the lives of Buddy Holly and Richie Valens.
