Real Lyrics -> Dirty Songs You Didn't Know Were Dirty -> Cyndi Lauper

Sometimes a song you hear for the first time, is innocent and sweet sounding. Then you listen closer to the lyrics, and realize it's talking about stuff you didn't realize. Double-entendres help disguise the filthiest of songs.

Cyndi Lauper's, "She Bop"
The dirty Lyrics:
She bop--he bop--a--we bop I bop--you bop--a--they bop
Why They're dirty:
When I was a little kid, I had no idea what it meant. But when I listened to it again when I was older, I got the masturbation references.

Cyndi Lauper's, "She Bop"
The dirty Lyrics:
She bop--he bop--a--we bop
I bop--you bop--a--they bop
Be bop--be bop--a--lu--she bop,
I hope he will understand
She bop--he bop--a--we bop
I bop--you bop--a--they bop
Be bop--be bop--a--lu--she bop,
Oo--oo--she--do--she bop--she bop
Why They're dirty:
It's no wonder this song is at the bottom of the Parent's Music Rresource Center's Filthy Fifteen. It's pretty obivous that this song is about masturbation. The chorus makes it that obvious.

Cyndi Lauper's, "She Bop"
The dirty Lyrics:
We-hell-I see them every night in tight blue jeans-- In the pages of a Blue Boy magazine
Huh, yea, I wanna go south n get me some more
They say I better stop--or I'll go blind..
Why They're dirty:
OK so the entire song is about masturbation, we know that. What people seem to miss is that the second line of the song mentions Blue Boy magazine which is a prominent gay men's porn mag. So now we know what she is masturbating too (Go Cyndi). Later she mentions going south and the old myth about going blind. Further on she talks about not being able to stop (almost an addictive quality to it). Its a great song, not at all subtle - yet so many people missed it. I love it.
