Story about this misheard lyric by: Trina Lufkin I first heard this song before I had studied any French, and then I struggled with this line, as per the above misheard versions. Later, studying French made it easier to figure out the line, except for the word 'Belsize', of whose meaning I'm still clueless. It must not be a French name as the other French lyrics woule have one guessing, because in French it's last syllable would sound like 'Sieze', not like 'Size' as it's pronounced in the song. |
