I'm a big fan of misheard lyrics and song parodies. I've been listening and collecting music since I was a little kid. I also love silly sitcoms and comedies, so this site is just a natural evolution of all my favorite aspects of pop culture.
I first started collecting these on my 80s site in 1996. It got to a point in the fall of 1999 where it was just a lot of work though. I decided to revamp the design of the site, and make things easier to maintain. When I got to thinking about it though, I had a lot of things I wanted to do with the misheard lyrics. Since I already owned a domain I wasn't using, I thought it would be a good idea to put it to good use.
I also had a small collection of song parodies, and I thought it would be a good fit for this site, so I moved that archive here as well. I then started adding different sections that are related to making fun of music in general.
My name is Charles R. Grosvenor Jr.. I currently work as a web developer. I have been developing web sites in my spare time since 1995. The biggest site, InThe80s.Com founded in 1995, contains over 10,000 pages and currently receives over 60,000 page views daily. In addition to this site, InThe70s.Com and InThe90s.Com were started in order to more fully cover the pop history of the last thirty years. Worcestermass.Com is a local site that I started in order to focus on the history of Worcester, MA, the city my family has lived near for over 120+ years.
