Song Parodies -> "Till the End"

Original Song Title:

"Les Bicyclettes de Belsize"

Original Performer:

Engelbert Humperdinck

Parody Song Title:

"Till the End"

Parody Written by:

Gregory Blake

The Lyrics

"Spinning and Spinning" the 'B.S.' goes on.
It seems "Hopeless", my friends.
Listen closely to what "They" said,
"Twist the Meaning" until the "End".
Till the "End".

The "Talking Points" of "Yesterday".
Become the "Narrative" of "Today".
Repeat the "Message" again and again.
Till "Confusion" just "Sets In".
Highlight the "Narrative", hide the "Proof",
Until the "Lie" becomes the "Truth".

Congressional "Probes" by "Talking Heads",
Searching for "Answers", my friends.
"Bickering" and "Stonewalling"
The only "Conclusion".
"True Facts" become only "Illusion",
Never "Proven!".

(Repeat Chorus)

"Accountability" just seems to "Slip Away",
But "We" can "Change" it, my friends.
Our "Problems" can be "Solved" at the "Ballot Box".
How "Deep" does the "Insanity" extend?
There's "No Time" to "Pretend".
Till the "End".

(Repeat Chorus)

Never realized way back when that Englebert Humperdink would be so prophetic about 21st century political narrative engineering. But then again, I mostly ignored his music
