Story about this misheard lyric by: Doug Baseball I was 9 or 10 when I heard it in a group of songs from musicals, probably on an album being sold on TV. I didn't know the song's title, and never questioned it, because at that age, I had no idea what tails were and wouldn't have considered brushing anything. But, the word sounded like pushing anyway, and the last one kind of sounded like pants, so for many years I thought that was it. |

"A Tisket, A Tasket"
The Made Up Words: Tisket, Tasket
Comments: The title line, I guess, was contrived to rhyme with "A green and yellow basket". As a child, this had me wondering for a long time what tiskets and taskets were. I never found out.
