SteriophonicsBand Name Origins:
- They got the name Stereophonics, because, when they were younger, Kelly and Stuart were sat in Kelly front room, and Kelly saw the name 'Phoenix Stereophonic' on one of the speakers of his dad's cd player. He liked it, shortened it to 'Stereophonics', and it just stuck ever since. Submitted by: Kat
- They had a few names before stereophonics, including the applejacks and the tragic love company (medleyed together through three of their favourite band names) but stereophonics came about when kelly was in his grandma's house and noticed her record player said "stereophonic" on the back of it, he took aliking to it and thats how they were named Submitted by: Martin Fraser
Song Titles Not Used as Lyrics:
Song Name | Comments & Submitter Name |
| "Dakota" | The chorus is "I don't know where we are going now." The line "Wake up thinking of you" is used a few times so could be the title, but instead it's 'Dakota' which doesn't occur anywhere in the lyrics. - Chris |

Misheard Lyrics Story:
|
"Dakota"
Misheard Lyrics: You make me feel like a worm
You make me feel like a worm A worm. Original Lyrics: You make me feel like the one
You make me feel like the one The one. |
Story about this misheard lyric by: Missy Bass ...But how does a worm feel exactly? Lonely, I'm guessing, deep in that soil travelling from here to there. So there is some sense in what I heard, though admittedly it was a rather peculiar simile to use and on the whole, it is incongruous to...well, everything else happening in the song. |

Repetitive Lyrics:
"Dakota"
The Repetitive Lyrics: So take a look at me now!
Why They're Repetitive: This repeats for ages at the end of the song. And also, I think the line is pinched from the chorus of the Phil Collins/Westlife/Steve Brookstein song 'Against All Odds'.

Why They're Repetitive: So maybe tomorrow you'll shut the bleep up!
