"Jackie Blue"
Misheard Lyrics: There never seems to be quite enough
Chlorine around to fill your lovin' cup. Original Lyrics: There never seems to be quite enough
Floating around to fill your lovin' cup. |
Story about this misheard lyric by: 70's film sunsets : ) I knew that couldn't be right...tried so hard to hear something else but couldn't. Felt better when I searched web and found other flawed interpretations (especially missing the 'loving cup' part). |
Songs That Open With Their Titles:
"Jackie Blue"
Opening Lines: Ooh-hoo, Jackie Blue, lives her life from inside of a room.
Comments: "Jackie Blue" was Ozark Mountain Daredevils' highest charting tune going Top Five in the Spring of 1975 (also probably the most recognizable from the five man country-rock group from Missouri that is still together and performing). The memorable opening line comes after a great guitar solo introduction. "Jackie Blue" was written by members, Larry Lee and Steve Cash with Cash on vocals. Other members of the group are: John Dillon, Randle Chowning and Buddy Brayfield. "Jackie Blue" was from Ozark Mountain Daredevils' second lp, "It'll Shine When It Shines".
