Fifi McFeef
This song hints about what goes on in the mind of a stalker, or so Falco said. However West German radio programmers refused to air it for "ethical reasons". Nonetheless, a West German news anchorman pushed for the song to be banned (his 2 teen daughters and a cousin had been abducted and later released) and several stations boycotted it. However some stations aired it and its video with a warning. Communist East Germany was lightening some its censorship up (Western rock bands like Iron Maiden and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts were allowed to tour there) but this song wasn't aired and playing it in nightclubs were VERBOTEN. Still, "Jeanny" topped the charts in Holland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Falco's home nation of Austria and WEST GERMANY - for 13 weeks! Falco later scored with 2 "sequel" songs and they charted well in Europe without such a fuss or racket.
