"Castle on the Hill (2010s - please use 'country')"
The Nonsensical Lyrics: I'm on my way
Driving at 90 down those country lanes Why They're Nonsensical: If Ed actually had been driving at 90 mph down country roads (which is illegal in Britain anyway), he probably wouldn't be alive to tell us as much in a song. However, 90 km per hour is about 60 mph, so maybe that's what he means.

"The A Team"
The Lyrics: White lips, pale face, breathing in snowflakes
Burnt lungs, sour taste Light's gone, day's end. struggling to pay rent Long nights, strange men And they say she's in the Class A Team Stuck in her daydream Been this way since eighteen But lately her face seems Slowly sinking, wasting Crumbling like pastries Why: "She" has white lips because what is referred to as snowflakes is referencing cocaine. Her face is pale because she is outside in the cold. She is likely homeless and poor (hence why she is struggling to pay rent), and it is implied that she's a sex worker. She falls into depression, as she is unhappy with her life choices. Near the end of the song, it is implied that she killed herself.
