Story about this misheard lyric by: Greg Campbell Years ago before we all went down to see Volunteer Jam, we had a party. A friend brought a friend who claimed to be the number one CDB fan. Then he sang along to this song, which was blasting. But we all heard the wrong lyrics. Anyway, we laughed so hard it hurt. Actually, this *is* the instrumental battle, at least Johnny's contribution to it. These lyrics are traditional floater fiddle lyrics and refer to the songs that Johnny played in the contest with the Devil. For example, 'Granny does your dog bite' is part of a medley of Confederate Civil War songs that feature good, down home fiddle music.
