Whenever I hear a cool phrase somewhere, I like to exclaim "That would make a cool band name". This page is a list of such names.
I can not verify whether these names have been taken yet or not. If your band happens to already use one of these names sorry. If you want to use a name you see here, you'll need to verify it's not already in use.
|Aweful Awful||Um, they don't yell "Author, Author" they yell ENCORE! ENCORE! (As in play it again) DUUUUUHHHHH!!! [Ed.'s note: Ah contrare, mon frere. This use this as an alternative to "Encore, encore" in the 40s and 50s. Don't you watch Warner Brothers cartoons (Bugs Bunny in particular.)?||Bob|
|Aweird||My dad remarked once that Sadie, one of our two dogs, is very aware. I misheard him and said to Sadie, "Yes, you're a weird dog." When he corrected me, I laughed and said that she's aware AND weird, and then he jokingly declared, "Aweird!"||Da Phoenix|
|The Awesome band & Alex||This was originally the name of our band because it's true! We are awesome! (apart from Alex) I thought of it when I was thinking for the name of our cycling team (fast kids & Courtney)||Optimus Lime|
|Awesome Possum||I just say it sometimes. I refuse to use ordinary slang that everyone in the world copies from everyone else and then some.||waverly|
|The Awesomeness Of Plastic And Robots||It's in Guitar Hero Rocks The 80's.||G|
|Awful Awful||A play on the popular cheer "Author Author", which is exclaimed by an enthusiastic audience after plays or operas (I don't know why). People seeing this band might yell the name of this weird alternative group, while others who find the band excellent would be very confused.||hardrock|
|Awkward At First||I think it sounds cool. And being gay, it kind of suits me.||Sum Guy|
|Awkward Last Words||Yeah, it's the name of an Armor For Sleep song, but lots of great bands have songs for titles. This one sounds really cool anyways.||Tinsley Ward|
|AWOL||away without leave...it's just a kickass military thing||gatorboymike|
|AX-15||It's the transmission in my dad's truck. (It's made by Aisin-Warner, the 5-speed manual transmission on six-cylinder Jeep Cherokees and Wranglers. It's actually quite good.)||Joe Montmatre|
|AxChik||My friend and I were just brainstorming cool band names, and this came up. A month earlier my friend had chopped my finger off with an ax.||Typo-07|
|Axewound||Awsome heavy metal name. I was in a car crash and I got this huge gash down my thigh. It looked like I'd been done with an axe, and it just popped into my head! Awesome!||TiMoFy!|
|Axiom||It means that a law which is accepted by everyone.||Nikhil|
|Axis Of Evil||Allright, it's a little to heavy-metal for most bands out there, but it does have it's possibilities. Even though GWB (The C-I-C, not the bridge to NJ) stopped using the term, it still comes up on the news channels quite often. For those with a non-metal band you can tweek the axis theme as follows: Axis of Steeples (For Fundie Rock) or Axis of TVo (For Techno-bands) etc.||John Buck|
|Axle Tramps||This female punk band is really into cars, apparently.||RevengeFromMars YouTube|
|Az Iff||There was a band called Az Yet. This is my version.||crazydon|
|Azalea Nyx||It's kinda like the band Rascal Flatts. This is for an all girl band or just a girl who is solo. it is a mix of the Azalea Flower and the night goddess Nyx.||BunnyKiller|
|Azul Tequila||Ive always liked tequila, and as a friend and I were getting wasted one day, we ran out of tequila and my bassist drank Windex by accident. So there came the name of our band Azul means blue. Azul Tequila||Steve Dominguez|
