- J Mascis named the band Dinosaur, but the threat of a lawsuit from a California band made of members from Jefferson Airplane, Moby Grape and other remnants of the psychedelic scene, called the Dinosaurs, made mascis add the jr designation Submitted by: TK
- This band was originally just Dinosaur before most of the major band members left the group. With a few new members and a threat of a lawsuit by the former members, they became Dinosaur, Jr. Submitted by: newrock

Story about this misheard lyric by: Robert Berardi After art college, it seemed all my friends had moved to New York, while I was stuck in my hometown. When I (mis)heard this Dinosaur Jr. lyric, I said, 'That's it, I'm outta here.' I lived in nyc for 8 and a half years and spent $60,000 on rent before learning the real lyric. Oops. |
Repetitive Lyrics:
"Don't"
The Repetitive Lyrics: Why? Why don't you like me?
Why They're Repetitive: Those are the only words. The singer sounds very upset and it's fine until he starts growling.
