Comments & Submitter Name
|"Glen Campbell"||"Glen Campbell replaced one of the original members of the Champs after they had a big hit with "tequila" in the late fifties. The Champs did not fare very well during Glen's tenure with the group. Several years after he left the group, he became a very sucessful country/pop singer and even had his own television show."||- Barry Disbrow|

Story about this misheard lyric by: Nancy
At the University of Arizona, the marching band would play this at all the football games and the student section would shout 'Tequila'. Well one time, I stood up and shouted 'Arriva!' at the top of my lungs. EVERYONE around me just stopped and stared at me. It felt like the entire stadium stopped. Horrors!
That's it. The only word said in this still used a great deal at parties song from 1958 is "Tequila!"
