"Lightning's Girl"
Misheard Lyrics: Stay away from Lightning Girl
And this part of town Stay away from Lightning Girl Or she'll put you down. Original Lyrics: Stay away from Lightning's girl
And this part of town Stay away from Lightning's girl Or he'll put you down. |
Story about this misheard lyric by: Brian Clearly Lightning is the nickname of a dangerous gang member; and Nancy is saying to stay away from his girlfriend. As a very small child, I thought the song was about Lighting Girl, who must have lightning bolt super powers and was therefore a public menace. The song goes on to say when lightning comes down the street you should run away. If bolts of lightning are blasting down the street, it is a good sign Lightning Girl is close behind, so this sounds like good advice. |
Song Parody Fragments:
S*** right out of you
Walk all over you
And that's just what you'll do.
One of these nights, these boobs are gonna bounce all over you.
(B-B-B-B-B-B-B)
And that's just what they'll do.
One of these days, these boots are gonna walk all over you.
(Bass solo)
I heard it also rained in Tallahassee,
But all the snow fell on li'l ol' me,
'Cause I'm in bu-bu-bu-, bu-bu-bu-, bu-bu-bu-bu-bu-bu-Boogertown!
If you had a million dollars or ten
I'd take it from your world and then
I'd go away and make you spend
Your life in bu-bu-bu...Boogertown!
But not a drop fell on li'l ol' me,
'Cause I was in su-su-su-, su-su-su-, su-su-su-su-su-su-Sugartown! If I had a million dollars or ten
I'd give it to your world and them I'd go away and then I'd spend
My life in su-su-su-...Sugartown!
