Story about this misheard lyric by: Kristen

My friends and I were driving one night. One friend asked me to put Taking Back Sunday on, because there was this one really funny song that says, 'When I made love to plants'. When you listen to the song, it sounds just like that.

I'll do what I go to, the truth
is you could slit my throat

I'd apologize for bleedin on your shirt

Repetitive Lyrics:

"You're So Last Summer"
The Repetitive Lyrics:
If I'm just bad news,
Then you're a liar.

I didn't count how many times it says it, but it says it a lot.
Submitted by: Morgan
"There's No "I" In Team"
The Repetitive Lyrics:
Best friends means I pulled the trigger!
Best friends means you get what you deserve!

Nonsensical Lyrics:

"Make Damn Sure"
The Nonsensical Lyrics:
My inarticulate store-bought
hangover hobby kit,
it talks
It says,
'You, oh, you are so cool.'
Why They're Nonsensical:
First, what is a store-bought hangover hobby kit?
Moreso, how is it inarticulate? Isn't it an inanimate object?
If it is inarticulate, would you even be able to understand it?
And why would it tell you that you're cool?

Misrhymed Lyrics:

"Cute Without The E"
The Misrhymed Lyrics:
Don't bother trying to explain Angel
I know exactly what goes on when you're on and
How about I'm outside of your window
How about I'm outside of your window
Watchin him keep the details covered
You're such a sucker (you're such a sucker)
for a sweet talker
Why They're Misrhymed:
Ever notice almost all Emo songs have no rhyme scheme? Thats one thing I love about them and why I love writing them because there are no words that rhyme. For example. Taking Back Sunday's 'Cute Without the E' seen above, there is absolutely no rhyme scheme in this; yet the point is clear and it fits very well into the song. So if you like writing songs and you're terrible at rhyming: try emo. :-)
