Repetitive Song Lyrics:

"I'm Gonna Be (1,000 Miles)"
The Repetitive Lyrics:
I would walk 500 miles
and I would walk 500 more
just to be the man who walked
1,000 miles to get right at your door.
Why They're Repetitive:
I think we get the idea that the boys in this group would do just about anything to get the girl that they love. There's no need to repeat it 20 times.

"Oh Jean"
The Repetitive Lyrics:
Love her I love her.
Love her I love her.
Love her I love her.
Love her I love her.
Why They're Repetitive:
More I love hers than that, about 2 minutes of it!

Nonsensical Song Lyrics:

"I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)"
The Nonsensical Lyrics:
And if I haver,
I'm gonna be the man who's havering next to you.
Why They're Nonsensical:
This might seem nonsensical to many people, since 'haver' (pronounced with a long 'A' sound) is not too common a word. But it is a scottish word that means to talk foolishly (which makes perfect sense since this band is from Scotland), especially about nonsense. So maybe it is a bit nonsensical.

"Letter from America"
The Lyrics:
When you go will you send back
A letter from America?
Take a look up the railtrack
From Miami to Canada
[...] The way you felt the day you sailed
From Wester ross to Nova Scotia
[...] Lochaber no more
Sutherland no more
Lewis no more
Skye no more
[...]
Bathgate no more
Linwood no more
Methil no more
Irvine no more
Why:
America, Miami, Canada and Nova Scotia, and the Scottish places of Lochaber, Sutherland, Lewis, (the Isle of) Skye, Bathgate, Linwood, Methil and Irvine. The song is about Scottish emigrants to the North America.
