Story about this misheard lyric by: Madison Clark

This song plays every day at my workplace, and I thought it was really weird to hear this lady talk about dating Elvis. I knew that I was probably hearing it wrong, so I spent a long time searching for the song name. I didn't expect Elvis's name to be the actual lyric, but I now realize it was an intentional metaphorical allusion. It took me days to find the actual song since I kept searching for the incorrect lyrics, but I found it by searching for the rhyming lyric "jealous," which I knew was in the song.
