Why They're Nonsensical: This is in response to the person above who thought it was a piece of nonsense. Poetry isn't usually nonsene... :-)And the following should explain the line just fine... Jimi was part of an Airborne parachute unit in Vietnam (or so the story goes), and that line is part of one of their unit jump songs. So when you fling yourself out of a C-130 at 3000 ft, you are literaly 'kissing the sky'.
