Music Trivia -> Lighter Side of Serious Bands -> O

Some bands don't wait around for Weird Al to parody one of their songs, and take a pre-emptive strike and write a silly song of their own.

Entries Beginning with O

"Official Sex Toy," Marilyn Manson
BION, Marilyn Manson is selling a metal (sex apparatus) with his name on it, and a picture of his face on the tip. I'm aware that the band Steely Dan took their name from such an object in the play 'The Naked Lunch' but this is ridiculous!
Words Fail Mee
"Ohio State Chant," Bryan Ferry
I saw Bryan Ferry in concert last year. He was sitting down at his synth, telling us how good it was to be back in Columbus, it having been years since he last played in that city. He led of the Ohio State University football chant by saying, 'O-H!' and the audience of course replied, 'I-O!'. Amazing. This guy is a Briton, so who told him about Ohio State University football? What-a-guy. He's got CLASS.
I Love Foxy Roxy Music!
"On With The Show," Rolling Stones
One of the many goofy nuggets of psychedelia on Their Satanic Majesties Request. I have included it here as it features Mick Jagger sounding very much like a game show host...and,despite the song title, it is the last song on the album.
Agrimorfee
"One After 909," The Beatles
At the end, they sing 'Danny Boy', rather jokingly
jdizzy
"One Vision," Queen
At the end of the song, they sing "fried chicken" instead of the expected "one vision".
B1982
"One Week," Barenaked Ladies
"Chickety China the Chinese chicken" WTF?
JeReMy
"Only Happy When It Rains," Garbage
I find it quite ironic that Shirley Manson loves it when the music is bad and this is the reason why it feels so good to feel so sad.
Celeste
"Ordinary Average Guy," Joe Walsh
This song is about someone being average. And when you sing about dog doo, you really can't be serious.
Paul Warren
"Otis," Jay-Z and Kanye West
"Jay is chillin', 'Ye is chillin' what more can I say?"
Mike
