- Most of the comments about the groups love of karate films, Chinese mysticisms, and connections to the 36 Chambers regarding their band name and philosphy are generally correct. One correction however, is that the majority of the "clique" called Wu Tang Clan, which, by the way, has many more members than just the recording artists, are from a housing project on the west end of Staten Island, NY called Shoalin Houses, which is another inspiration for their name and philosphy.
