The Dumbest Lyrics: I want to lay you down on a bed of roses, For tonight I sleep on a bed of nails. I want to be just as close as The Holy Ghost is.
Why They're Dumb: I can't believe this one isn't here already. 'I want to be just as close as the holy ghost is?' It's as laughable as a rhyme as it is a lyric. Jon must have been drunk when he wrote the entire song, but this line is the worst. For the record, I love Bon Jovi and think this song sounds great. I just can't listen too closely to the lyrics.

The Dumbest Lyrics: Sometimes you tell the day
By the bottle that you drink And times when you're all alone all you do is think Why They're Dumb: I've always thought this was one of the dumbest songs ever written, because: a. Do you know anyone who has an elaborate schedule of liquor brands to drink based on the days of the week? i.e. if it's Tuesday it must be Jack Daniels, and b. I find it hard to believe that the writer of this song does much thinking whether he's alone or not.
