| Original Song Title: | "Sailing" |
| Original Performer: | Rod Stewart |
| Parody Song Title: | "Bailing" |
| Parody Written by: | Merry & Pippin |
Note: CQD was the radio Morse distress signal prior to the introduction of SOS which was introduced in 1908.
I was sailing - now I'm bailing
'Cus my ship's sprung a leak
I am bailing lots of water
Need more buckets, lest I sink
I am crying - I am crying
With my tears - waters rise
I am praying - ask Poseidon
Send an island quick to me
Can you hear me call CQD
'Cus I don't know SOS
I am pining, for fear of brine-ing
With the kelp soon - what a mess!
Soon I will be floating debris
Now this barque's quite filled with spray
Say goodbye-ing 'cus soon I'm dying
Superstructure is decayed
I am wailing, 'cus a whaling
Is a-swim port and lea
I am bailing lots of water
Maybe Jonah soon I'll be
List starboard - like the Minnow, 'fraid I'll be
List starboard - like the Minnow, 'fraid I'll be
List starboard - like the Minnow, 'fraid I'll be
Oh glub...
'Cus my ship's sprung a leak
I am bailing lots of water
Need more buckets, lest I sink
I am crying - I am crying
With my tears - waters rise
I am praying - ask Poseidon
Send an island quick to me
Can you hear me call CQD
'Cus I don't know SOS
I am pining, for fear of brine-ing
With the kelp soon - what a mess!
Soon I will be floating debris
Now this barque's quite filled with spray
Say goodbye-ing 'cus soon I'm dying
Superstructure is decayed
I am wailing, 'cus a whaling
Is a-swim port and lea
I am bailing lots of water
Maybe Jonah soon I'll be
List starboard - like the Minnow, 'fraid I'll be
List starboard - like the Minnow, 'fraid I'll be
List starboard - like the Minnow, 'fraid I'll be
Oh glub...

Shivver me timbers! You get three Salty Dog Fives from me - one for each of the seven seas (that'll mess with somebody's mind!).
i'll give ya 5s, matey....now, i must bail
I agree with David, and if someone had 3 salty dogs, they might not care how many seas there are.
The original is such a pretty song that I therefore had a bit of a hard time getting into this one. Still, I think you guys did a great job...especially with the pacing! :-)
Haha ! 'Oh glub...' says it all ! A superb ending ! Fantastic stuff once again....
