| Parody Song Title: | "Something Got On My Tie" |
| Parody Written by: | Tim Mayfield |
Someone's little sticky hands
Are slimy, cold and wet
And they've been playing in their food
Their hands aren't washed as yet
They just can't sit and eat their food
There is no reason why
But when I happened to look down
I saw something on my tie!
Their hands are never tired
They can't sit and eat their meal
Their fingers small and tiny
It seems they were born to spill
When you've got four small children
Well that fact you cannot hide
As I was getting in my car
I saw something on my tie
Is it Kool-Aid or Spaghettio's?
Whatever it is, it shows
Will it wash out, or stain my clothes?
Something got on my tie!
Every time I'm near them,
I'm as nervous as a cat!
They've got messes everywhere,
And even where they sat!
They love to familiarize,
They touch everything
And even if I stop them,
They leave behind a stain
I need to learn to embrace them
Cause every day's the same
Remember every kid is special
And all my ties are stained
So I should put my tie on straight
Yeah, show it off with pride
Besides, that lashing out in anger
Will just stain your insides
Is it Kool-Aid or Spaghettio's?
Whatever it is, it shows
I should be proud, everyone knows
Something got on my tie!
Something got on my tie!
Something got on my tie!
Are slimy, cold and wet
And they've been playing in their food
Their hands aren't washed as yet
They just can't sit and eat their food
There is no reason why
But when I happened to look down
I saw something on my tie!
Their hands are never tired
They can't sit and eat their meal

A therapeutic parody that made me *awww* at the end. :) 5's
Thanks Adagio.
You did a good job of rhyming "yippee yi aye" "yippee yi oh" with Kool Aid and Spaghettio's, that part was special.
nice pacing and delightfully goofy...5s
Thanks Royce and Alvin.
Very cute, made me smile. Rhyming and pacing a little off.
Ties are designed for one thing: Getting in your soup. (Mike Pacholek's note: Yes, he really said this. The Splendid Grade of Splinter HATED wearing ties.)
Thanks Bob and Ted (Mike). Bob, I see 'special' is a problem for pacing, but I think I am using a broader method for rhyme scheme than you are.
