Parody Song Title:

"Dredge for Paul"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Dredge for Paul, Whit, Saul, and Polly
[dredging sound]
Nix been seen; neither has Rollie
[sound of gunfire]

Don Guido—cross him at peril
[mumbling]
Trawlers in the bay snag Merrill
[sound body being hauled aboard]

See the blazing fuel before us
[sound of conflagration]
Guy does arson for bucks for us
[sound of money being counted]

Trollops squeeze made men for pleasure
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah!
Mustn’t welch on paying treasure
[sound of money being counted]

Fast away enemy passes
[sound of gunfire]
Hail of bullets. . .attend masses
Fa-a-a-a-a-a-a-ather

Singing stoolies fall together
[sound heads being bludgeoned]
Feet cemented. . .concrete tether
[sound of weighted bodies being dumped in a river]

When I saw the title "Dredge For Paul," I figured this was the thoughts of John Lennon while making The White Album. Could be worse, it could be "Dredge For Sean Paul."
