"More PI"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

This is a song about pi, which is the ratio of a circle's circumference to it's diameter. Approximately equal to 3.14159, for any layman who may have wandered in today.
Archemedes got pi, and that was great,
but he called it 3.1418
then China got pi, and that was fine
cause they got it up to the first digit 9

More pi.

Madhava got pi, and he prob'ly went to heaven,
cause he was the first to get eleven
Then Newton got pi, it was to be seen
That he got it up to wow, sixteen

More pi.

in 1719 some one
got pi past a hundred one
Then Rutherford got it twice, but don't moan
he got it to 440 on his own

More pi.

Then computers came to be,
and now, don't you worry
Soooo.... ENIAC it was built
got 2,000 filled
IBM would fit the bill,
and it only got, a quarter of a mil.

More pi.

CDC would have a fling,
then Hitachi came and did it's thing,
by September 1999,
200 billion would be sublime,

More pi, more pi, more pi,
MORE PI!!
