 (MP3)
Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Of Roosevelts There’s Two"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Of Roosevelts there’s two
top guys in line.
Teddy led the Rough Rider crew—
they were flyin’
up San Juan, cryin’

Afterwards he landed
in Washington town.
By some he was branded
“landed gentry” and “progressive clown.”

Then Roosevelt anew,
after some time.

This time:
number 2
came for two
terms; that grew
in War II.

The next round:
another pair,
the Bush dynasty.
What a letdown:
forty-three!

Didn’t go well; these two
were not so fine.

Both Theodore and Franklin would be dee-lighted!
