Parody Song Title:

"Roger Doesn't Mind"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Roger [Mahony], Roger,
Through nose pay through (through nose pay through)
For those priests who wronged
And rogered from behind (rogered from behind).

You paid off, Roger, Roger,
'cause victims sued (because they sued).
You want to stay clear of courts, where light would shine
On your part in buggery,
Letting pedophiles run free.
Your deceitful schemes would see
The light of day, so you,

You paid, Roger, foe Roger, for priests who pined
(For priests who pined)
To unseat their schlongs
And roger from behind (roger from behind),

You're part of the treachery,
Of the sanctioned lechery.
Open up the treasury--
Sell holdings, just a few

Foe rotten Roger,
Now peace from priests you'll find.
Your face is faux long,
But you don't really mind (you don't really mind)
'cause your role in the priests' wrongs,
Roger, won't be defined.

Stuff like this is why Lenny Bruce said, "Every day, more and more people are leaving the church and going back to God." And the "conservatives" call us "godless"? That takes a lot of chutzpah. Though, in the interest of full disclosure, the security code for this comment turned out to be "YUK." I am not making that up.

matches the melancholy of the OS well

I'm giving you a 5 for funny because of your word "buggery". You told it like it is.

Thanks, Michael, Alvin, 2Eagle. Second line should be "The nose pay through."

First you guys rip Nifong, and now Mahoney the far-left child molestor? What's next, a thrashing on Mahoney's bosom buddy Villaigrosa?
Michael Pacholek - July 17, 2007 - Report this comment
Mahony may have buddies, but they don't exactly have bosoms. Villaraigosa's buddy, on the other hand...! But Villaraigosa (I think that's how he spells it) at least isn't "championing marriage" while visiting brothels like Senator David Vitter! Can you explain that one, "Patriot"?
John Jenkins - July 17, 2007 - Report this comment
It is difficult to understand how Cardinal Mahony still has a job and it is difficult to find humor in the Catholic priest scandal. But this parody does well at depicting this sad situation. I’m not sure why Mr. Pacholek wants to compare Senator Vitter and Mayor Viagra –raigosa. Both of them broke their marriage vows. Both of them sinned (who hasn’t?) and one of them repented and is staying in his marriage. Neither one is a role model, but to imply that the politician who is abandoning his wife is substantially less villainous than the one who is staying with his wife is a distortion of the facts.

Patriot, what's wrong with thrashing Villaraigosa?
Patriot - July 21, 2007 - Report this comment
What's wrong with thrashing Villaraigosa? Nothing! More, please. It does strike me as pretty disingenuous for Michael the--hater of all that's right and good--to be claiming that the renegade Roger Mahoney proves something about the right when he's further to the left than Stalin, though. (I think he does prove something: that we need to expel all leftists from both our churches and our government, since they will otherwise corrupt and molest our children.) It also seems to me that a party that consistently supports all forms of sodomy including pederasty is far worse than any party that inconsistently supports marriage and family. Given the history of politics, I'd say a pretender to the priesthood supporting and advocating all forms of perversion and apostasy is far more villainous than any philandering politician as well. I notice you keep changing the subject. What's the matter, guys? Did it hit a little close to home when you found out that your favorite political scratching posts Nifong and Mahoney were actually leftists? I also noticed, Michael, that you stated how happy you were that JJ here didn't use Villaraigosa to smear your whole party, yet you feel it's fine to smear everyone on the right with people who aren't even on the right! Who's a hypocrite now, Michael of the party of Scott Ritter?
Patriot - July 21, 2007 - Report this comment
And one more thing, Mike: I agree people are indeed leaving the churches and going back to God. Specifically, they're leaving the PCUSA, the NCC, and the UU, all of which are run by far-left apostates like yourself who can't be bothered to read the Scriptures and aren't even remotely Christian. There's more hope for Christopher Hitchens, who openly rejects the Truth, than there is for those like yourself who ignore it altogether and yet believe that they are in accord with it already.
Real Patriot - July 23, 2007 - Report this comment
So Patriot, which one of those acronymns did Ted Haggard head? (no pun intended there Pat.) That's right, it's all in the Scriptures - repent and ye shall be saved - yada, yada, yada. Now Patriot, I'm sure that sodomy to you probably carries a middle ages definition, but perhaps if you were to get or give a little "sodomy" you might be able to think a little clearer (I know that it helps me). Patriot, you've proven our point, you have spoken like a true fascist. (And don't try to hijack "hyprocrite" on us the way that Cheney tried to hijack fascist.)
