Parody Song Title:

"Glossolalia"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Glossolalia, glossolalia is a name to
examine, as it involves a talking style.
The word comes from Greek for “tongue,” and that is chained to
Greek for “prattle”…the province of logophiles.

Logophiles uncover roots of “glossolalia,”
as they break it into its component parts.
It’s got a couple of morphemic steps
that are tied where there’s a splice snare.

From two morphemes that’re real: glossolalia.
But in other folks, that is where the crazy starts.

Phonystyle’s province of some for glossolalia;
on they prattle, making no sense from the start.
Some will roll on the floor, nonsense sounds drip
from their pieholes, which aren’t dry holes.

Garbled, formless, unreal glossolalia.
Out of control babble that rolls nonstop from start.

Glossolalia, gobbledygook.

Once saw glossolalia defined as "creation of words by insane people". Also so-called "speaking in tongues", which is a misinterpretation of a story in the New Testament. Or is it something like Sid Cesar used to do in his act, when he would utter nonsense sounds in a simulated French or German accent? I once met a Pentecostal girl who claimed to speak in tongues. It sounded a bit like Swahili to me. In any event, I believe this is the first time the word "glossolalia" has ever been used on Amiright.
