| Original Song Title: | "Take Five" |
| Original Performer: | Dave Brubeck |
| Parody Song Title: | "Fake 'Live'" |
| Parody Written by: | Rick Duncan |
I didn't even know this song had lyrics until I heard a friend sing them recently. So this is for Doris. And we all know who it's about.
Won't you sync and fake
A little song on T.V.
Just fake "live"
Dance your ass away
And fake the lines out
On Saturday Night Live
Though they're blowing ev-e-ry note
Cause they have a hor-ri-ble throat
All they have to do is emote
Keep that image and career afloat
Sometimes all the lies come to light
And the critics laugh at the sight
At the "artist" standing there in fright
As they play the goat
Wouldn't it be better
If they just really sing
All the talent they bring
Start a music revolution now
Not fake "live"

I thought TOS was instrumental too! It's best known for its "5/4" meter. Since I don't know how the "lyrics" go, I don't know if I should vote or not. However I trust that it is well paced.
I d/l this song (great tune!). It didn't have lyrics, but I followed your lyrics to the beat through the first minute or so of the song. Kudos for doing what most know as an instrumental; that's not something you see every day.
