"Oy Vey"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Dedicated to everyone with housemates who steal their food. "She eats for three" does NOT mean she's pregnant with twins. It just means she eats as much as three people.
All o' my food, in my kitchen
it's all moldy, or its a-missin'!
Oy vey! She lives with me!
Oy vey! She eats for three!
She's got such gluttony!

All day long I've been waitin'
for that grilled cheese to now be tastin'!
Oy vey! She ate it up!
Oy vey! With my fruit cup!
Did she eat it all? Yup!

Girl appears and her shadow is wider.
Munchin' on turkey and cider.
Little bit o' shovin' in her mouth every night.
And I'm gonna say my baby ain't light!

All o' my food, in my kitchen
it's all moldy, or its a-missin'!
Oy vey! She lives with me!
Oy vey! She eats for three!
She's got such gluttony!

(guitar break)

Was this one of my songs? Who sang this one originally?

It wasn't me - I've been seeing Judy Singer.

It was The Crickets (as in "Buddy Holly and...") from the 1957 album "The Chirping Crickets. The song was written by Petty (also of The Petty Trio and the album's producer), Tildham (sp?) and West and has been covered a number of times. Regardless, it's a nice little ditty -- yours and theirs. :)

I don't know why the original performers didn't appear in the entry, but it was Buddy & the Crickets. Norman Petty owned the Clovis, New Mexico studio where he recorded Holly, and also Buddy Knox & the Rhythm Orchids, possibly also Roy Orbison. Guys from West Texas went there instead of to Dallas or Houston in the 1950s.

Oh I get it now. He fat fingered the entry.

Nice job Mike. And Melhi, you're scarin' me (Never seen anyone out-Claven Pacholek)

Sorry Claude, wasn't my intention to be Claven-esque. Just happen to be on a Buddy Holly kick, lately. :) Michael... my hand must have slipped as I clicked when I rated you earlier, that 4,5,5 you got from me was intended to be a 5,5,5. :/

Claude, I don't know whether to feel complimented or insulted. Oy vey.
