Song Parodies -> "I am... Human"

Original Song Title:

"Jam"

 (MP3)
Original Performer:

Michael Jackson

Parody Song Title:

"I am... Human"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

This one was difficult due to the pacing and the fact that the lyrics sites seem to jam (no pun intended) the latter lyrics all together. I barely remember the song, so I just did my best...
Nation vs Nation
All over the Globe
At war forever
Achieving peace
Is something we’ll never see
Forget diplomacy
It never works out
Everyone hates their neighbors
For seeking favors
Or threatening borders
Nobody thinks of
A better world
Hate replaces love
Leaves everyone to doubt

We’ll never find a lasting peace ‘Cuz
Wars and genocide never cease
False prophets of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam
Deny the possibility
Politicians feeding off each other,
Starting problems,
Playing on people’s fears,
Spewing rhetoric everyday
Better do something fast

Can’t give in
To the world we’re livin’ in
I am…
Fed up with all this stuff
Always asking way too much
It’s not too hard to understand
I am…
Human
Fed up with all this stuff
As if
Life isn’t tough enough???
It’s not too hard to understand

The world keeps revolving
Intelligent minds
Yet, no problem solving
Newspapers always printing
Gloom and doom
In the Information Age
Can someone figure it out???

Brothers and sisters
Can’t we
All get together???
Corrupted by
The system
No one thinks about humanity
Ignorance is bliss…

Diverse cultures pray to the Gods, To Allah
Then a suicide bomber
Comes along
Endless contradictions
Within themselves
Never knowing “their” right
Is wrong
I wish you would just
Accept me
For who I am
Don’t judge me
Recognize me
As a child of the universe

Can’t give in
To the world we’re livin’ in
I am…
Fed up with all this stuff
Always asking way too much
It’s not too hard to understand
I am…
Human
Fed up with all this stuff
As if
Life isn’t tough enough???
It’s not too hard to understand
I am…
Fed up with all this stuff
Life isn’t tough enough???
It’s not too hard to understand
I am…
Human
Fed up with all this stuff
As if
Life isn’t tough enough???
It’s not too hard to understand

[Rap Performed By Heavy D]
I am, I am…
Not threatened by The Man
And until
We all stand
in unity with demands
Politicians and prophets
Will never understand
the power of the people
They’re criminals
In demand
President's so delusional
Change, change, change
It was never real
Middle class is now poor
Billions of dollars by the bundle
Given to hustlers, that was the plan
What happened to the average man???
Got Osama
A big distraction
Enough for the 2012 election???
It’s not too hard to understand

[Michael]

I am…
Fed up with all this stuff
Always asking way too much
It’s not too hard to understand
I am…
Human
Get used to it
Fed up with all this stuff
Always asking way too much
It’s not too hard to understand
I am…
Human
Fed up with all this stuff
Always asking way too much
It’s not too hard to understand
I am…
Human

Human
Fed up with all this stuff
Human
It’s true
It’s not too hard to understand

It’s not too hard to understand
I am… [9x]

Get used to it
I am…
Human
Fed up with all this stuff
Human
Get used to it
It’s not too hard to understand
I am…
Fed up with all this stuff
Always asking way too much
It’s not too hard to understand
I am…
Fed up with all this stuff
Always asking way too much
It’s not too hard to understand
I am…
Fed up with all this stuff
Always asking way too much
Fed up with all this stuff
Human
Get used to it
It’s not too hard to understand

Get used to it
Just do it
Do it sanely
Recognize humanity
Come On
Recognize humanity
Without it
Life is just insanity…

Very, Very, Very Well done Robert!!! You tacked that Heavy D. rap really well. Except at the end of it you put "[Michael]" as the singer for the parody when isn't you that's performing it? But I'm not going to count off for that, no way, a job masterfully done! 555! :-)

Thanks for your inspiration Wild Child JIN for me to even attempt this song :-)

WJN, I left the [Michael] in as a tribute to him for although I thought he went off the deep end early on a degenerated into being a child molester/sex offender/drug abuser/nutcase... he did still possess a child-like innocence in terms of hoping through song to address some of the world's worst problems socially, culturally, and spiritually. HE probably could have written this song. I surprised myself b/c I have a morbid sense of humor and am largely a right-winger who believes in dominance. I totally reversed on this one!!!

I haven't even begun my parody of "Jam" yet, I'm still trying to get my lyrics together, rather trying to get my lyrics period! :-D, and thanks for explaining about the "[Michael]" situation, I can see your point of view on it now. :-)
