Great wordplay, Martha, and I liked the way you worked Eliot Spitzer. I don't agree with the lines about irresponsible borrowers being "victims," but this is a very fine parody.
Thanks for the commnet John Re the victims there are some I think if you examine some of the predatory lending that went on at the extreme end of this it was very targeted at specific vulnerable groups sure they shouldn't have borrowed but I still think that some people were vicimtimised.....
Fair enough, Martha. But, since more than 80% of subprime loans are currently in good standing, I conclude that most of the borrowers were beneficiaries, not victims, of the subprime loans. The biggest victims might be the responsible borrowers and taxpayers who are asked to bail out the irresponsible borrowers.

Yes, but please remember John, that those the majority of that 80% live in Calif. and now own homes that are ~NOT worth~ what they paid for ! They call it negative equity! More -4-Closures will follow!
