The Lyrics

The Election is coming in November, voters reading the magazines and think what's their decision on the upcoming election.
Set the poll
Set the poll
vote, vote, vote
vote, vote, vote

Look around everywhere you turn is heartache
It's anyone you vote for [look around]
You try everything you can be voted
The pain of life that you know [vote who you want]

When all else fails and you long to be
Something better than since 2000
I know a place where you could vote for
It's called a town hall, and here's what it's for, so

Come on, vote
Let your body move on Election [move on Election]
Hey, hey, hey
Come on, vote
Let your body go with the flow [go with the flow]
You know you can do it

All you need is you got to be over eighteen
So use it that's what it's for [that's what it's for]
Go inside, for the biggest election year
Your thoughts will open the door [open up the door]

It makes no difference if you're black or white
If you're a boy or a girl
If the voting's pumping it will give you new life
You're a president, yes, that's what you are, you know it

(chorus, substituting "groove" for "move")

Newsweek's where you find it
Not just where you bump and grind it
Soul is in the election
That's where I feel so political
Politics, life's a ball
So get inside the town hall

Vote, [Vote]
Newsweek's where you find it [move on Election]
Vote, [Vote]
Newsweek's where you find it [go with the flow]

William Clinton, and Al Gore
Kerry and Joe Lieberman
Wesley K. Clark, Howard Dean
On the cover of a magazine

John Kerry; Howard Dean
Picture of a president
Dick cheney, Dubya Bush
Schwarzenegger, live on air

They had power, they had will
Schwarzenegger gave good look
Howard, Hillary, Dubya Bush
Schwarzenegger, we love you

Leaders with an attitude
Fellows that were in the move
Don't just stand there, let's get to it
Set the poll, there's nothing to it

Vote, vote

Oooh, you've got to
Let your body move on Election
Oooh, you've got to just
Let your body go with the flow
Oooh, you've got to

Great ideas, kinda fell apart as it progressed--for example, I liked how you listed politician's names in the spoken part, but you ended up repeating them later. I wish you had changed more of the words.

I voted 4 for pacing; I mean, I would have voted 5, except at the end, where you mention people's names, it didn't rhyme like in the original. So I voted straight fours.

I know who I'm gonna vote for this fall, but I don't know what score I'm gonna vote on this parody yet.
