Another fall back at elementary school
adding programs not so cool
Sometimes we'd fake sick and watch Nicktoons
drinkin' soup with our jammies on
We'd watch zelda and mario
We were too damn poor to buy Nintendo tapes
There was no other good time to want to be inside
My mama wanna watch that TV all goddamn night

we would listen to the teacher all day
In the hope that she would say
You get five minutes to play
You'd have to wait but you could play it on Oregon Trail
Yeah, you could waste your game time on Oregon Trail
I can still hear Teacher say "Girl Turn that game down!"

"Aw, Mom. Not that show again! I don't wanna watch that show!
Can't we watch The Noozles or David the Gnome or something cool?
Turn it off!"

Things changed back in '95
We were all growing up on the in and the outside
Everyone else was going to SIS
I went to private school with a bunch of rich kids

I remember 1997
We all had to learn how to type via mavis beacon
I got a computer on Christmas day
I dreamed that one day my friends would install Warcraft
and teach me to play
Teach me to play...

There isn't any place that I need to go

I didn't learn from that 4 bit program
