The Lyrics

Any married men here that can relate?
[intro]

Meet her, quite cute
The bach'lor life has just gone down the tu-ubes!
Rent suit, nice tie (oh my!)
"I dos" said the wedding ni-i-ight

Was done dating there's a kink in my plan
Seems ev'ry girl's crazy 'bout a mar-ried man!

Small talk, see my ring
Don't view marriage as a sacred thi-ing
(They) Want flings, give in?
You must be kidding - wife would have my ski-in!

Some want mating and they think one-night stands
Seems ev'ry girl's crazy 'bout a mar-ried man!

[solo]

Damn ho, stay back!
Got no int'rest in you booty cra-ack!
Tempt me?, fat chance!
I can keep, my **** in my pants!..

They're still waiting for my slip so they can
Throw down and get busy with this mar-ried man!

It sound to me like you're a man with "true grit"; well written.

A high-fidelity parody.

Relate to this? Nope. Not even close ;-(
Red Ant - February 03, 2006 - Report this comment
Thanks Royce, Johhny D and Phil. Phil, it may be an American (or local) phenomenon but it seems that some/many single women are drawn to married men. Of course, this IS exaggerated *slighty* for comedic effect.

this is fact...i have single friends that put on wedding rings before cruising the bars

Thanks Alvin, and bingo!. Also, it should read "...in your booty..."; maybe typing in the dark (a Boss parody idea perhaps?) at 4 am isn't the best idea....

I too have had friends like Alvin's, the "trick" works here too. Ahh... who am I kidding, I've tried it myself, and it works. Also, giving away that you're kind of religous (but on the interested, not fanatical, level) is another great set up. I used to play on being interested in the Koran, it was kinda more exotic than the homefront Christianity, but of course that was 20 years ago when many muslim nations where said to be on our side against the Russians and on the recieving end of the free weapons trade. Nowadays I prefer to drop hints about being into Hinduism, which is actually somewhat true since I read James Redfield's "The Celestine Prophecy", but not on the "beware the man of one book level". But I digress, the point I seem to have such a hard time getting around to is that quite many women see men who are married or have " a higher moral" as bigger game when they're on the hunt.

Very funny, Jack! 5's AND, I learned a ton of secrets from the comments too.

Thanks Peter, Rick, Larry and Pat. Peter, I don't think it is the higher moral ground but the perceived unavailability or perhaps a test to see if they have the charm to take a man from his wife.

(ABC3) Clever. As one of the club, I have not encountered this problem, but my pride makes me believe that the single girls in my neck of the woods just play nice! :)

So what you're telling me that these girls in bed want to be on ZZ Top?

Isn't THIS the truth? In America it sure is. In Peru I have more trouble with women trying to flirt with my wife than with me. Thankfully she isn't that kind of woman!-----MM
Stuart McArthur - December 18, 2006 - Report this comment
(ABC3M) well as a married man, I think a lot depends on how LONG you've been married - 60 years would knock the unattainability attraction out of that wedding ring - nice job Jack - 555
