"Truth"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

We've reached a point in time where people are being intimidated to the point they're afraid to speak, where telling the truth results in people getting punished and worse. There's only one way to end that kind of tyranny, and that's to ridicule those who would silence us - with words, with truth, and with refusing to be silenced.
TRUTH

Gonna speak out the truth
Gonna speak out the truth
Gonna speak out the truth
Gonna speak out the truth

And your warnings can’t stop me
And Pelosi can’t stop me
And the Senate can’t stop me
The House can’t stop me

Gonna speak out right now
Gonna speak out right now
I’m gonna speak out the truth
Gonna speak out the truth

And your unions can’t stop me
And your fists can’t stop me
And your pundits can’t stop me
And the President can’t stop me

Will you speak out the truth?
Will you speak out the truth?

(Repeat and Fade)

The truth needs to be told, even though it hurts! Because a lie hurts a lot worse than the truth! Even if people ask me some personal questions and such, even though I don't want to reveal much, I can't bear to be dishonest no matter how I try! But great parody you wrote! 5's!

What's your complaint, Dude? War is peace, slavery is freedom, and lies are truth. (Just depends on who's telling them). I wrote all about it: Who controls the past, controls the present; who controls the present, controls the future. 555, and that's the truth -- no really, I mean iTT!

@ Christie - Thanks so much! Isn't humor and satire that make a point too just the greatest! Be careful, though. Sometimes you have to be careful in what you say, unless you are willing to consider the consequences. But always speak your mind when your heart and mind tell you to.

@ JorJor - I know. I started reading "Brave New World" again as well. Too bad there aren't enough people out there who know there were people who warned us about what was possibly coming. Next we'll have book-burnings ordered by the Congress - you know, those that contain "hate speech". ;-)

Thanks Mark S! Absolutely! But I'm wondering how many are familiar with the great OS by Randy Newman which is about opening up and baring your soul. :-D

DKTOS, unfortunately... but when the truth is nobly spoken, respect must be paid!

Orwell wrote "1984" in 1948 (he was dyslexic, actually; it was supposed to be set in his own time -- j/k!), and Ayn Rand wrote "Atlas Shrugged" in 1957. Both prophetic, 50-60 years ahead of their time. Too bad no one listened -- or listens now. Yep, "PC" rules -- and I ain't talkin' Personal Computer™ here.
