"Clint Can See Obama in the Chair Tonight"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Clint Eastwood's senile/Alzheimer's speech at the Republican National Convention was just screaming for a fistful of fodder. All it took was the right song.
Clint can see Obama in the chair tonight, Oh Lord
I've been rooting for Obama, all this time, Oh Lord
Can you see Obama in that chair tonight? Oh no, Oh no

Well, if you told me "Vote for Romney"
I would not lend a hand
Your senile face before the press
But I won't trust you with Magnums again
Barack's not there, yeah, I saw on YouTube
I saw it with my own two eyes
I guess your Alzheimer's hit, you're betting on Mitt
GOP's a pack of lies

And Clint can see Obama in the chair tonight, Oh Lord
I've been waiting for this Mormon, you served him right, Oh Lord
Are you feeling lucky on the air tonight? Oh no
And I've been waiting for the Batman and "Bain" to fight, Oh Lord, Oh Lord

I'm not embarrassed!
Not embarrassed don't worry
How could I ever regret?
It's the first time, the last time we ruined Mitt
But I know the reason why your speech was effing up, no you don't fool me
America votes; O's campaign still grows
Mitt's endangered like Howard Dean

And Clint can see Obama in the chair tonight, Oh Lord
I've been rooting for Obama, all this time, Oh Lord
Clint can see him in the chair tonight, Oh Lord, Oh Lord
I've been waiting for this moment, all the night, Oh Lord...

I think Clint's senior moment has become a "parody perfect storm."

Clint's production company: Malpaso (bad step). His shtik: Malpensando (bad thinking). He appeared to be halllucinating, having a malpasón (bad trip).

An inspired title sub, and you did quite a bit with the repetitive chorus. Take this momentum with you to SOTM...go BO!

I agree with Agrimorfee, this is one of the best title subs I've seen in a long time. Great idea.

Judging from Obama's brilliant debate performance last night. I can see where Clint's empty chair/empty suit metaphor is really going to be the stuff of ridicule now!! Seriously, could anything be further from the truth?

Gotta agree with everyone else, this is perhaps the best title sub I've seen in a long while...I really like the moment/Mormon sub too. Really nice work here!

So if Clint had a senior moment with his empty chair routine, why did the New Yorker magazine recently use Clint's empty chair metaphor on it's magazine cover to illustrate Obama's dismal performance in the first debate? Are you going to tell me the publisher of the New Yorker magazine is a senile redneck?

SOTM...perfectly paced, and definitely an inspired OS for your subject matter. Wish you had taken it to a "funnier" level, though.

(SOTM) I'm surprised that I actually knew about this before I read the parody. I wish you had explained what Clint was talking about in his speech that made him see invisible Obamas, but that's just me. Still a fantastic parody, I LOVE that title sub, that's genius right there. 555!

(SOTM) I loved Clint's speech. And I agree, it needs to be jabbed at and you did a fantastic job!

I know more about this just because it's an Internet meme but I never actually saw the video of Clint Eastwood talking to a chair. I should probably check that out.

SOTY...back again...still appreciate this one...even if Clint's antics are no longer on the forefront. Excellent job here...
