You do parrot the current wisdom for the last week of January well, I'll give you that much. But riddle me this: Why does Biden need this "deal" before he starts enforcing the border. Why not use the laws that were already on the books that Trump utilized that kept illegal immigration to a fraction of what it is now? And why is Biden suddenly hot to control the border when just last week he was ordering the Border Patrol to cut barbed wire barriers in Texas ... And, of course we all know why. concerning the argument that Biden could use executive authority, keep in mind that it takes more $ to increase border security, and Congress controls the purse, plus the recent bill that Dump sabotaged would actually increase a president's power to act on this issue.
