| Original Performer: | Trashmen |
| Parody Song Title: | "Sir! Nix Bird!!!" |
| Parody Written by: | John A. Barry |
Couldn't resist a parting shot. Good news: looks like Harry's OK.
Well almost everybody knows what is a bird
Bird is a four-letter word
A-well a "bird"'s got four; "man": three-letter word
A-well a bird in orange clothes hasn't occurred
A-well a bird don't drink dry martinis stirred
A-well a bird don't go see a doctor for GERD
A-well a bird that fights has a claw that's spurred
A-well a bird in flight might drop on you a turd
A-well a bird's feathered, but it isn't furred
A-well a bird will chirp but will not use a word
A-well he don't know a man from bird
But everybody else knows just what is a bird
His vision blurred, an accident occurred
A-well a
A-well a bird don't get drunk and peep slurred
A-well a bird don't make cheese with a curd
A-well a bird don't funnel funds to Kurds
A-well a bird don't get drunk, vision blurred
A-well a bird's in a flock, not a herd
A-well a bird chirps; it's a cat that's purred
A-well a bird it weren't, as he averred
A-well, there's one who don't know man from bird
Well he was supposed to be stalking a bird
A yell of: "Sir!
"Sir!! Nix bird!!!!"
B-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-bang!!!
Pow-pow-pow-pow. . .boom, kablam, pow
Pow, kaboom, blam, pow!
Pow, pow, boom blam pow! Pow, pow, boom blam pow!
. . . .
A-well he don't know a man from bird
After he sobered up, then to Brit Hume he purred
Now he's in the parodists' site [sic]; they're stirred:
Pow, pow, boom blam pow! Pow, pow, boom blam pow!

Ten times better than the original song.
The OS could also be used to spoof the senior senator from West Virginia, but it would be difficult to come up with as many rhymes for bird as you did. Good job.
you did a lot with what you had to work with
You really hit the nest with this bird..5's
" Surfin' Bird " --- what a bizarre song to parody --- great job, JB!
I don't think I've ever heard this song but, wow, a heck of a lot of different rhymes here. I hate to ask but what does [sic] stand for?
[sic] in this context means that JB meant exactly what he wrote (i.e. he didn't mean "in the parodists' sight") - it's an editorial way of saying "I know this looks wrong, but it's exactly what that other guy wrote" when you're quoting someone who said something wrong. For example, a newspaper might have written: "they have misunderestimated [sic] the American people"...
Wish I knew the OS, JB: this is kinda fun :-)
