Song Parodies -> Sheep-herd
| Original Song Title: | "Sheila" |
| Original Performer: | Tommy Roe |
| Parody Song Title: | "Sheep-herd" |
| Parody Written by: | John A. Barry |
Bleat, little sheep-herd,
Consorting with Bo Peep's herd,
You rise, bony, 'neath the tail.
The cheeks aren't rosy, wool from them's used for hosiery.
Lamb, that lanolin's sublime!
Never had a girl, has the little sheep-herd.
Herd game drives him insane.
Sheep are the world of the little creep-nerd.
Lamb, that lanolin's sublime!
Little sheep-herd goes for a ride.
O-, o-, o-, ovines don't feel funky inside.
Then little sheep-herd whips it in the rear:
"Di-, di-, di-, divine. I love you sheep, so dear."
Then sheep-herd gets hungry,
Sheep bleat, plead, "Please don't eat me!
Have store-bought shepherd's pie!"
Sheepdog's loudly yapping,
Straining at its tether.
He'll fire up the grill and dine.
Soon he has the grill hotter than Ophelia--
The flame, like her, insane.
And then he eats a doggone good meal, yeah
Man's best friend tasted just fine.
Then little sheep-herd's feelin' tired,
Ate, ate, ate, ate , ate too much lunch he had fired.
He nods off, asleep, with upended rear.
A, a, a ,a, a great big ram is near.
Ram leaps on, a love beast;
He thinks, "I'm gonna cleave these,"
Ewe love proxy in line,
Like dog on humpin' spree
And unhampered by a tether.
Ram that man again, tup* time.
*Chiefly British term; as a noun, "ram"; as a verb, what rams to ewe do that they do so swell.
