The Lyrics

The Who's Superbowl Halftime show (started a little shaky, but, like true rockers, they finished strong!)

Who plays now before this crowd (Super Bowl high expectations)
Notes were off loud screams abound(Halftime show heart palpitations)
Roger's voice started awful s s slow(missin' notes no orchestration)
The Who might die before Drew's next throw (might need some that resuscitation)

Some Orchestration, It's High Expectations baby

Who are you just seemed to say (fading memory premonitions)
And Pete's mid seam's popped flabby d d day (belly fat made some gyrations)
I'm not lying Won't Get Fooled caused elation (windmill strikes caused jubilation)
And Roger's notes came to fruition (laser lights made rock creations)

Fans Concentration, Who's Next Presentation saving

Who rocked out they did OK (fireworks caused some loud vibrations)
But Pete's half deaf and seen better days (back to gym firm mid foundation)
New tour vying on fans big admiration (sponsors hope no constipation)
Who rely on fans fascination (hope they play My Generation)

No Imitations, It's Who's Generations cheering

High, high, high, high obligation

Who played hard don't put them down (Viagra saved their presentation)
Pete's right arm now spins around (fans just love Pete's innovation)
Sound alright looked awful o old (looking' like gramps generation)
They're not so spry ignore that they're old (rockers have no expiration)

Rocking out no expiration (our expectations)

Great stuff from one of my favorite writers. Bottom line: Roger and Pete were super, Keith Moon and John Entwhistle not so much. ;D

Who's Who to perform on our generation? I thought they were spectacular with their performance at the Halftime show! When I mentioned they looked like grandpas performing, my dad was like to me: "What do you expect? They've been around in the 60's, so of course they're old!" Anyways, great w-w-work and take some f-f-f fives!

I couldn't believe old man Pete could still windmill his arm like that! Wish him luck on his rotator cuff surgery tomorrow. ;-) Good one, 555. (And I liked your "Jets" recording too!)

Thanks, blackjack! You are right, they are neither "rusting" or "fading away"!!!

ROFL!!! Isn't it funny how they look so old, but the rest of us haven't changed one teensy little bit? ;)

One of the more memorable halftimes, complete with a Pete wardrobe malfunction. Excellent!

Even with their age, still better than a lot of the modern (alleged) "singers".... but why no "Tommy" in the show? (sniff) 555 from my generation (yours, too? or "Don't ask; don't tell? -- either one's OK ;-)

I thought they did good. Pete was embarrassing to watch, but Roger was awesome. Not bad looking for 65. 555

I agree, and thanks, carly! Roger sounded a little off in the beginning, but really brought it home in the end!!!
