Parody Song Title:

"Actress, Anne Bancroft"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Actress, Anne Bancroft dies of cancer at age 73
She always made the screen
A little brighter, with her glow
She always made a movie
great to see..
The world will miss her
And her lovely smile,
The beauty of her eyes
No one had her poise,
No one had her style...

Here's to you, actress, Anne Bancroft
We all loved you, sympathy we show,
Woe, woe, woe
God bless you, Mrs. Melvin Brooks
Heaven saved a place for you to stay,
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey hey

She played so many roles
In many special films
through the years..
"The Miracle Worker" and
"The Graduate"
"The Turning Point" and
"Agnes Of God"
These and all the rest
Memorable portrayals,
Always done her best...

Here's to you, actress, Ann Bancroft
We all loved you, sympathy we show,
Woe, woe, woe
God bless you, Mrs. Melvin Brooks
Heaven has a place for you to stay,
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey

got onto this quickly AFW - well done - she was disappointed she is best remembered for Mrs Robinson over the Miracle Worker, but it was a zeitgeist role - RIP - 555

Very nice. An overlooked role in which she was radiant: Mrs. Kendal in "The Elephant Man."

Mel Brooks in real life, Dustin Hoffman in the movie... I do look Jewish, not to mention strange, but I must have been too tall for her. And how did Blake Edwards get Julie Andrews? It must be a Billy Joel-Christie Brinkley (Ric Ocasek-Paulina Porizkova) type of thing.

She was a lovely lady who was married to a very funny man. You left out "To Be or Not to Be".
