"Did You Ever Have to Make Up a Mime?"

Parody Written by:

Stockholm Syndrome: An emotional attachment formed by a hostage to a captor
Did you ever have to make up a mime?
Stick white facepaint on her and make sure it don't shine?
The stuff is so greasy and looks like slick lime.
Why did you ever take up with a mime?

When she's left, under your breath you deride
Her "performances" and say some things that are snide.
And call her deranged and wish that she'd get a life.
It's unfortunate that she is your wife.

The makeup gives her big, round eyes, but mascara's runny,
And she's shedding tears--no one gives her money
For standing and looking like mannequin girl.
Then her hat gets stolen, but her act won't let her twirl
Around to see who has committed this crime:
Pickpocket who adds chapeau-shagging to his line
The makeup is greasy, and now it is lined
By the tracks described in Smokey R.'s rhyme.

At first you really dug that girl, but then she got twisted
Then, like someone with Stockholm Syndrome, you assisted
Her in pursuing delusions, and in time
You found yourself making love to a stationary mime.

Which means you know your hand; it's then you decide,
With jesting you're done; you are gonna take a ride.
At last it got to you--her tongue always tied;
Now you finally understand mimicide.

>>>By the tracks described in Smokey R.'s rhyme<<<< Very clever! The whole concept is great! Almost makes me wish it wasn't legal to kill mimes! (You mustn't use a silencer, though...or you'll go back in time) 555

Nice job, I like to see this song used in a parody. Hmmm...is it possible that's because it gives me an opportunity to plug one of my OWN pieces? Nah...that thought NEVER occurred to me for even the briefest, tiniest moment... Anyway, JB...funny stuff...pantomiming three 5's your way ~ ~ ~

No problem, JB...this piece reminded me of the 'Spoonful again...I had wanted to look at doing more of their stuff and kind of forgotten. Now you've got me working on a piece one of alvin's pieces kind of kindled...what goes around...etc...

A mime is a terrible thing to waste.

I played a blank tape on my VCR. The mime next door went crazy.
